Aspirations and mood swings. Damn you Maxis for making highly-addictive simulation games.

Now playing: Sam Sparro - 21st Century Life

No weird topics to contemplate endless moons about.
Except maybe...
Nope nevermind.

I'm currently developing a feeling of pure contempt for Sims2. It's addictiveness has been biting off big chunks off my time.. Call me a paranoiac, but I swear, the whole of today, I just sat and played Sims2.
I brought my laptop, so thank God, I didn't have to use my brother's.
Point is, I have to stop. Badly.

So, I've been listening to a lot of electronica lately.Like that's a surprise..
I came across this guy named Sam Sparro. He's Aussie and gay, but damn, the music he makes is perfect for electronica. It's electrofunk to be exact, I fricking love it. Normally, not all electronica artistes' voice blend with the music, but his does. Conclusion : He's brilliant.

It's weird to think that I'm beginning to fixate over indie-dance-punk-electronica. Yes, there is a genre like that fyi. But hey, it beats effing mainstream crap any day, yeah? As if I'm really gonna obsess over the likes of Rihanna, Duffy or God forbid, Soulja Boy.

Sam Sparro got me thinking about other artistes.
I did a scan on my playlist. Can't even begin to comprehend how much crap there is on my drive. I have about 50 gigs of songs now. Desperately need to delete some stuff. =\
So I hereby present you. The 5 awesome ZOMG-I'M-HIGH electronica bands I think there ever lived..
Electronica is a really massive genre btw. So ignore me if I'm heavily biased on synthpop.

5.Digitalism makes me swoon~~
Their music is like tranquilizers. It slowly creeps into your veins and shakes up your endocrine system. Real scary shiet. Nonetheless perfectly good for my ears.
Earbleeders : Pogo, Zdarlight.

4.Blaqk Audio. Believe it or not, those two guys in the pic, they're from AFI..
The AFI that you're probably thinking of right now.
You're wondering how they could possibly switch from kickass stuff like Miss Murder to electronica?
Well they did. Probably because they can and still maintain their awesomeness.
Stiff Kitten and Semiotic Love are my faves.

3.LCD Soundsystem. Something like Digitalism I suppose.
Movement and Daft Punk Is Playing At My House are pretty cool.

2.Hot Chip.
They're absofreakinglutely brilliant. I guess I'm a bit addicted to Brit electronica bands =P. I've got a substantial reason, they rock THAT'S WHY!
Over And Over and Ready For The Floor are <333

1.DAFT PUNK!!!!!!

Lose the incredibly weird robot suits, and here you got the geniuses behind Kanye West's Stronger and Technologic [the iPod commercial in 2005??]
They're fantastic live btw. Must be the lighting and kickass music. I really wanna see them live.

ANDDDDDDD.
My rebound-loves.
JUSTICE!
Anyone know D.A.N.C.E?? It was nominated for a Grammy I think. It's vid is pretty cool. Shirts evolving, not something you'd see everyday.
The guy's name is Gaspard. =]

STG's not on the list. Neither is Sam Sparro or NYPC. But that's because there's a difference between just listening to band that plays good music and a band that's just plain phenomenal. =P
I like making lists that no one gives a crap about.. XD
Maybe next time I'll make a list of Britpop bands.

Sue me.
